Post about Streeteasy switching from Google Maps

One of the biggest tools mentioned is TileMill, put out by MapBox

And Open Street Maps

http://www.openstreetmap.org/

It looks like Foursqaure very recently made a similar move, also using TileMill/MapBox tools
