Very interesting Kathryn! I found technology Specialist Shannon McClintock Miller’s project connecting her class with other distant classrooms via Skype to be a great use of technology. Those of us in the DH class who did our open peer review on “Philosophical Leadership Needed for the Future: Digital Humanities Scholars in Museums” will find her slideshow to be reminiscent of Michael Edson’s voiceless video. Between her local project and the globally oriented organizations like iEARN (International Education and Resource Network) connecting with young women in underdeveloped countries, we can all see how relevant DH and the use of technology is changing pedagogy and who we are able to reach.
